Project Concept

Research & Ideation
Understanding the new trend, search engine updates, and the target audience taste of our client’s customers, i-verve started the project with deep market research and competitors’ analysis.
The unique idea was to inject a 3D view concept of the client within the website that gives a new identity to the brand, matches the company’s value and shape with a powerful front end and engaging UI.
The main aim was to imply the concept of displaying Excluded and included VAT prices on every product page of the website. The client wanted us to change the order of showing Excluded and included VAT prices function in a different order which is against the Magento 2 default functionality. We performed customization on the website front end and back end to label the price tab as per the client’s requirements.
Approach
The client interviewed 10+ companies and interacted with more than 30 developers. He then shortlisted 3 companies from which he finalized i-verve as his final technology partner and approached us with the requirement of expanding website functionality, migrating successfully from Magento 1 to Magento 2, and developing a custom Magento 2 theme.
Our approach towards client requirements was super quick and we immediately helped the client by onboarding 2 expert dedicated developers who helped him in migrating the website from the legacy Magento version to the latest Magento 2.3 version.
Our front-end developer helped in customizing the theme using “Porto” to design the most appealing theme meeting the client’s vision and industry standard.
Challenge
The major challenge was to perform a migration of the website from Magento 1 to the Magento 2 platform. This idea was to help our client move the site to a newer more robust platform version with all its advantages, as well as preserve all the integral business data like customers, products, etc.
The second challenge was to customize a new design and expand features in the website meeting Magento 2 best practices by keeping the existing and recognizable look and feel of the brand from Magento 1 to Magento 2.
- Add MAP on the “Navigate to our office” page so that customers can reach their store.
- Include the history of FELIXPrinters on the “About Us” page so that customers can get more information.
- Also, Newsletter subscription functionality is there on the website.
Apart from this, there were other challenges like, integrating extensions cautiously and making sure it competes with other existing 3rd party extensions, redesigning the interface, and customizing the design for all email templates for order confirmation, invoice, and shipments.
Solution
The solution was quick. Our expert developers set a milestone for each challenge client had and others that we encountered while solving the existing issues.
Our first milestone was to migrate the site from the legacy Magento version to the latest Magento 2.3 version making sure the data does not get leaked or lost along with the website running exactly the same way as it was before migrating.
We helped our client in migrating the site using the standard method and making sure it has all the advantages and features after migrating as it has before.
We also helped clients in customizing website design, expanded new features, and gave new feature listings with the old recognizable look and feel.
We have fixed the product page image issue which was a bug in the Porto theme. However, we quickly made the desired changes as per the client’s expectations leveraging our experience and design expertise.
Frontend development
Worked on the Menu section of the website, kept it easy to understand and simple to use, made the functionality search bar super attractive to allow users to easily search for their choice of functions, and designed a user-friendly and engaging home page in Magento 2.
Concept and UI logic design
Our expert Magento 2 developer made the mobile friendly website responsive across the screens leveraging the years of experience and latest UI and front-end tools to make the UI logic sound more human-centric, keep it engaging and create it super responsive that fits all mobile screens at the same time.
